Edit: I forgot to mention, this is a very symbolic piece, subtle and not so subtle, I hope you can see some of the things I was aiming for.

This is dedicated to my lovely friend (everyone dedicates something to him once in their artistic life ), to my amazing virtual wife - whose a bit down at the moment

EDIT: There were things still bugging me so I spent a couple more hours doing more painting - you probably won't notice the difference

Edit: I tried taking into account all the critiques on this and have changed the background colour around the moon, tried to sharpen up the background a bit more and make the right side of the dais look less cut off with foliage and little changes in shadow and light.
